Welcome to our ELL Wiki!

During this Summer 2014 course, we will be interacting with others often. It is important to be respectful, kind and aware of personal bias and acknowledge varied perspectives. We will also be visiting our blogs. The blog urls are here and scroll down for our collaborative netiquette suggestions.

NETIQUETTE WIKI SUGGESTIONS
Add your suggestions for 'best behavior' when interacting in an on line learning environment:
    1. Be careful when using humor. There are so many ways that a good (humorous) intention can offend an individual from a different culture or background (DK).
    2. Do not use your Blackboard posts as a venting session unless it is prefaced as such. (RD)
    3. Remember to be sensitive to those of from other cultures when posting. (RH3)
    4. If there is a problem between students, try to handle it in a mature and civil manner.(RH3)
    5. If the problem between students cannot be dealt with in a mature and civil manner, then either discuss things with the professor or just leave each other alone. (RH3)
    6. If someone says or posts something that a person likes, say so. Just try and be mature and appropriate in responding. (RH3)
